Hello! My name is Melissa and you’re viewing my blog The Bossy Baker – a blog devoted to food, fitness, and healthy living. I started this blog as a creative outlet, somewhere I could expose the world to my eccentricities, bossiness, love of baking and general plans for world domination (well, maybe not the last part…)
My focus on healthy living has been enhanced by the blog world, which provides such a wealth of information, personal stories, and humour. I hope this blog will do the same!
In 2009, I graduated from the Australian National University with a degree in International Relations, specialising in political science and linguistics. Little did I know many of my passions would not be quite that academic!
A little more about me:
- I thought I was allergic to fish until age 16, when I ate some by accident. Once I realised I hadn’t died, fish quickly became one of my favourite foods.
- On the other hand, I refuse to eat any other type of seafood, and am a little freaked out by prawns. The long spindly legs and antennae remind me too much of bugs! Also, they seem to look at you while you eat them.
- I don’t “love” running but I do like the sense of accomplishment when you go a little faster or a little further each day.
- My favourite foods are dark chocolate, French toast, most pasta dishes and Thai green curry.
